Hi Crystal
The best option is the Private Landlord System we offer through Trans Union. You get access to the applicant’s criminal history and actual credit report (not a summary), and it also gives you a recommendation to deny or accept the applicant by email. No setup fees, No Site inspection, just pay as you go. It also is a great selling tool for your applicants when you tell them that there credit score will not be affected because they are the requester, not you, and the report blocks out the full account numbers. The applicant can also dispute any info on their credit report once they have signed up. The system is GREAT for you and the applicant. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed. Please see the demo on our site to see how easy it is.
If you were to set up a corporate account, you would need 30+ verifiable units, and after the first of next year will be having $100.00 per month minimum for the commercial accounts. There are no signup fees, but a site inspection with photos of the office, is required now by all Credit Reporting Companies, and the cost is around $100.00. The required qualification process requires background and credit checks on all owners and agents within the company.
You can now see why we started the Private Landlord System, its easy and secure for everyone. In the last week, we have hade 16 commercial clients switch over the Private Landlord System, due to the fact that it is easier and carries less liability for fraud, than pulling the raw reports directly, and taking a chance on a dishonest employee getting the applicants Credit Information.
I hope that this has answered your question, and if you need further information, please just ask.
